Friends,

Thank you for taking the time to visit the TeamTudor.org website. It is a way for us to share views about Florida's 12th District and America as a whole. It also allows you to learn more about me and the tough fight I'm waging to allow our District to once again have a voice in the U.S. House of Representatives.

On February 29th, 2008, I retired from the U.S. Navy as a Master Chief Petty Officer, which is an E9 with a base pay of about $60,000 a year. The rank carries both its responsibilities and benefits, and overall it is a pretty good life. It would have been easier for me to continue my career in the Navy, with its inherent job security, immense job satisfaction and pride, medical and dental benefits, and reliable pay-raises. To do so, though, would mean that I would have to forgo giving voice to the rising frustration I and others are feeling about America's current state of affairs. I would have to forgo giving voice to the aggravation my neighbors and I feel at the seemingly endless assaults on America's working and middle class. And, I would have to forgo giving voice to my own dissatisfaction with the petty bickering that passes for political discourse in this country.

Plain and simple, I'm running for Congress to give regular folks a voice; a voice that Adam Putnam has sacrificed in his never-ending submissiveness to party politics. For too long now, Adam Putnam has only echoed the failed policies of the Bush Administration, voting with his party 98% of the time. True enough, he has been faithfully rewarded for this blind loyalty, advancing to be Chairman of the House Republican Conference. Time and again, he has put party and personal ambition above the concerns of his constituency. I'm running for Congress to ensure that the best interests of America and FL-12 always come before party politics and personal ambitions.

The one and only way I can return Washington's power to you, its rightful owner, is with your help. Together we can sweep Adam Putnam from office and send a working man to represent working families. I promise to be a voice for middle class Americans, and not an echo of Wall Street Republicans. I promise to be a voice for our nation's military heroes and veterans, and not an echo of "Stay the Course" endless war. I will be a voice for America's workers and not an echo of corporate robber barons.

With your help, we can have a government that works for us - one in which we can trust and one in which we can be proud.

Please join us in this historic endeavor. Make a pledge today to do whatever you can, whether it is to donate money, to volunteer time, or provide ideas. We know our nation is headed down the wrong path, but we still can turn it around if we act now. We can't wait for someone else to fix this. We must be the change we are seeking. Join with us today! I pledge to always work my hardest, and I promise to make you proud.

Your brother, Doug Tudor
